Former Student wins First Prize in Vienna
Henning von Schulman, who graduated from the Opera Academy this summer, has won first prize (EU 5,000) in the Otto Edelmann Singing Competition at Schönbrunn Hofteater in Vienna. Apart from being the first to win this competition, Henning von Schulman also received the audience prize (EU 2,000) and the prize for best bass barytone (EU 1,000).
Henning von Schulman has been engaged from August this year as opera soloist at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, where he will sing Lodovico in 'Othello', Banco in 'Macbeth and Leporello in 'Don Giovanni'.
