Martin Lohse receives the Børresen Prize 2012

Composer and teacher at RDAM Martin Lohse has received the Hakon Børresen Prize 2012.
The Hakon Børresen Prize is awarded every year to a Danish composer with a central position in Danish music life. The prize has previously been awarded to Hans Henrik Nordstrøm, Anders Brødsgaard, Karsten Fundal and Bent Sørensen among others.

It is, among others, Martin Lohse's accordion concert, In Liquid, written for soloist Bjarke Mogensen, that weighted the reasons for the prize. The concert was released on CD in 2012 with Bjarke Mogensen and the Danish National Chamber Orchestra on Dacapo Records.

Martin Lohse passed his diploma exam in composition and music teacher exam in music theory at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Niels Rosing-Schow as his main subject teacher. He has studied with Hans Abrahamsen in the soloist class and he had his debut concert in 2004
