New Chinese MCI Director

This August, Music Confucius Institute at RDAM welcomes a new Chinese director, one music teacher and six new teacher interns from China. The newly appointed Chinese Director Mr. Li Xin is currently Professor and Deputy Dean of the Musicology Department at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing (China). He also has a background within the society of world music in China.

After arrival,the new music teacher and the six interns will take part in the institute's activities such as high-profile concerts and the high school teaching programme. The high school programme with its focus on Chinese music and language has now been successfully running for the last two years in collaboration with selected Danish high schools (one of them is Sankt Annæ High School). The interns have been selected especially by their knowledge and skills within traditional Chinese instruments, and are currently studying at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
