Hanzhi Wang awarded 3rd Prize in Milano

Accordion student won 3rd Prize in international competition

The RDAM accordion student Hanzhi Wang was awarded 3rd prize in the 26th edition of the Societa Umanitaria competition in Milano, Italy. It is the first time a student from RDAM gets a prize in this international competition, which is open to all instruments and chamber music groups invited through a number of leading academies in Europe.

The competition took place from 29th September - 7th October 2017, and the 2 other prize winners came from Conservatoire National Supérieur, Paris. Including in the prize is also a series of concerts in Italy in 2018, arranged by the Societa Umanitaria.

Hanzhi Wang is currently studying accordion in the Advanced Postgraduate Diploma (Soloist) Programme under Professor Geir Draugsvoll.
