Alva Holm wins the Young Soloists Competition 2018
17-year-old violinist to be soloist with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra
RDAM violin student Alva Holm was one of the five winners of the Young Soloists Competition 2018. She will be performing Brahms’s violin concerto with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in Grieghallen, Bergen, on 5 April 2018.
83 young artists from Norway, Sweden and Denmark were participating in the competition which took place 15-19 January. The other four winners are August Schieldrop, tuba, Kristina Vårlid, guitar, Fred Lindberg, cello, and Emil Havold Næshagen, bass.
Alva Holm is a Bachelor’s student under Alexandre Zapolski at The Royal Danish Academy of Music.
