Tibor Varga Winners 2019

RDAM violin students Anna Agafia Egholm and Adam Koch Christensen

The two RDAM violin students Anna Agafia Egholm and Adam Koch Christensen have been awarded 1st and 2nd Prize in the prestigious 2019 Tibor Varga International Violin Competition. 94 young violinists were registered for the competition, and the final round with orchestra took place on the 24th August 2019 in Sion, Switzerland.

In addition to the 1st Prize Anna Egholm was awarded the prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary piece by Heinz Holliger. Adam Koch Christensen was awarded the 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize.

Anna Egholm (22) is studying in the Advanced Postgraduate (Soloist) Programme under Professor Tim Frederiksen. Adam Koch Christensen (19) is a Bachelor’s student under Professor Eszter Haffner.
