About Music Confucius Institute 

Music Confucius Institute (MCI) was jointly established in 2012 by The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) and the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) in Beijing. The institute operates under RDAM, and works with projects, which aim to develop and create new relations between Chinese and Western music culture. The institute organises activities that include teaching, workshops, and concerts in collaboration with many local partners, businesses, and students from RDAM. We offer a dynamic and international working environment, where you will get the opportunity to collaborate across culture and professional background on different projects within music and music education and outreach.

About the job

Besides working closely with the employees at MCI and RDAM, you will also work with a group of interns from CCOM, who are musicians and music teachers. With your colleagues, you will work on:
• Planning and coordination of cultural and musical activities
• PR and communication
• Administrative and practical matters at the MCI office

Your profile

You are flexible, take initiative, and work independently in a structured and goal-oriented manner. Your educational, professional background, or work experience is related to intercultural collaboration. You also use IT and social media in your daily work.
The primary language of communication will be English. Therefore, you should have a good command of the language. It will also be useful if you can communicate in Danish and/or Chinese.
In your application, you should also indicate other skills and competencies, which could be relevant for MCI.


The duration of the internship is flexible, with a minimum of 5 months. It will be possible to tailor your working hours to suit your studies. This is an unpaid internship.
