Meet our teacher interns from Central Conservatory of Music - academic year 2018/19
Chen Yingying is a graduate student at the Music Education Institute of Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM).
Chen Yingying has been teaching music at Kangleli Primary School and Baizhifang Primary School in Beijing, and she has been conducting music at Sanheli the Third Primary School and at No.18 Middle School Attached Primary School also in Beijing. Chen Yingying has participated in vocal performances at the Bach Festival in Leipzig, Germany, the 70th Anniversary Celebration of Central Conservatory of Music, and she took part in the opera “La Traviata” in Tianjin in 2013.
Chen Yingying held a short-term study at the Kodaly institute of Hungary Franz Liszt Academy in 2016.
Graduate student of the Traditional Instruments Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
He has won the First Prize (Professional Group) of China Yuping “Ketelin Cup” National Dizi Invitational Competition; First Prize (Youth Professional Group A) of 2nd National Zhudi Invitational Competition; First Prize (Dizi Group) of “Long Feng Yin Xiangjiang”—5th Instrumental Music Performance Invitational Competition (Hong Kong); Gold Award (Professional Group) of 2nd International Dizi and Xiao & 3rd “Tingyu Cup” International and National Chinese Bamboo Flute Invitational Competition (Wuxi).
He has held two zhudi recitals and seven dizi and xiao appreciation concerts of different themes at Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
As an invited performer, he took part in the “Jincheng Siguan” Grand Symphony Concert at the National Theatre for the Performing Arts together with Chengdu Chinese Orchestra in 2013.
The year 2018/19 is the second year of Li Yingchun's internship at Music Confucius Institute (MCI).
Wang Yifan is an undergraduate student of the Traditional Instruments Department of CCOM studying under the tutelage of Su Chang.
Wang Yifan enrolled in CCOM Primary School in 2005 and later was admitted to CCOM Middle School and undergraduate school upon recommendation. She has won the Gold Award (for Plucked Instruments) of 1st “Hua Yue Zhi Yun” National Instruments Competition; Gold Award (Professional Junior Group) of 2nd International Guzheng Competition; Gold Award (Professional Guzheng Group) of New York International Competition for Chinese Music.
She has recorded the performance demonstration in the teaching disk of CCOM’s textbooks for international and domestic guzheng grading tests; she has recorded the demonstrative classes for CCTV Music Channel program “Music Tells You•Guzheng Classroom”; She has given public lectures at the invitation of Social Community Cultural Working Committee of China Culture Administration Association and was conferred the title “Chinese Culture Volunteer”. She has also successfully held “Fan Zheng Inheritance” Guzheng Recital Series of Wang Yifan.
The year 2018/19 is the second year of Wang Yifan's internship at MCI.
Yu Yeti is a graduate student from Central Conservatory of Music. She began to study guqin at the age of 12 and studied with Zhang Zisheng, Secretary General of Guqin Society in China. In 2013, she came under the tutelage of Associate Professor Zhao Xiaoxia, CCOM.
In 2014, Yu Yeti was admitted to the guqin performance major of Central Music Conservatory’s Traditional Music Department with the honor of the first place in the guqin course. She has won the gold award in the Finals of Chinese National Instrumental Competition of the 8th International Huayue Cup in Singapore and in the first China-British International Music Festival. During the past years, Yu Yeti has participated in live performances at CCTV and at the grand song cycle “The Apperception of Confucius” with the Chinese National Symphony Orchestra Chorus in Beijing Concert Hall and the National Grand Theater respectively. In addition, she performed on a national tour together with “Xiao Yue Hua Yin” and the Central People’s Broadcasting Orchestra.
Yu Yeti has served as a lecturer of guqin Training Class for Teachers of Beijing Sport of University, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Administration of Sports, respectively. Her teaching experience includes working as a teacher of guqin major in the Continuing Education College of CCOM and as an advanced guqin lecturer at the Zixia Guqin Pavilion.
Third-year graduate erhu-student from Chinese Traditional Instruments Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
In 2012, Zhang Mengyang started studying erhu at Sichuan Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Professor Liang Yunjiang, erhu player and composer. In 2016, she finished her undergraduate study with two degrees in erhu and double bass and entered the graduate school of Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
Among many performances, Zhang Mengyang has participated in the Chamber Music Concert hosted by CCOM in 2015, the opening ceremony of National Textbook Construction Senior and Performance of Chamber Music in 2018, and she held her own solo concert in 2017. In addition, Zhang Mengyang organises and plays in the band, May Track, consisting of traditional Chinese instruments. She has won group first prize of erhu in China Traditional Musical Instruments Competition and the first prize of ensemble competition hosted by Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
Zhou Linyi is a graduate student of the Traditional Instruments Department of CCOM studying under the tutelage of Prof. Hao Yifan, pipa educator and instrumentalist. In 2011 she was admitted to the undergraduate school of CCOM and in 2015 she enrolled in the graduate school of CCOM with the first place in the entrance examination.
During her school years, Zhou Linyi has successfully held two pipa recitals, and played pipa, zhongruan and daruan in National Youth Symphony Orchestra, Zhang Hongyan Plucked Instruments Ensemble and Lan Weiwei Chamber Ensemble. She has taken part in The River of the Orient—Grand National Orchestra Concert; Celebration Concert of Macao International Meeting for Regional Exchange and Cooperation; Opening Gala of 6th Forum for Female Presidents of World Universities. In addition, she has also taken part in the recording of Spring Festival Traditional Chinese Opera Gala, New Year Beijing Opera Gala, etc. for many times. She has won the Bronze Award (Youth Group I) of “Youth Music Cup” Hong Kong Pipa Competition for International Youth.
