Peter Barnow

Associate Professor, Tonmeister

Peter is a Tonmeister graduate and has a Master degree in Studio Composition from Goldsmiths College, London. He has years of experience as a freelance producer and sound engineer within a wide range of musical genres, and runs his own recording studio. He also works with live sound, sound design and music for theatre and film, and has professional experience from The Royal Danish Theatre and the Black Diamond concert hall. Furthermore, he has taught at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.

Besides teaching at the Tonmeister studies, Peter works with the conservatory’s digital development projects and studio facilities, including Distance Learning and online streaming of concerts. He is part of the development of projects and teaching related to 3D/immersive audio.

Peter has worked with artists and ensembles such as Copenhagen Phil, Athelas Ensemble, Scenatet, Studium Chorale, Kottos, Figura, Efterklang, CIRKLEN, Henriette Sennenvaldt, Frk. Jacobsen, Vessel, Mathiasen/Bruun/Snekkestad, Mames Babegenush, Valby Vokalgruppe, Slaraffenland, Jeppe Just Instituttet, Niels Rønsholdt, Juliana Hodkinson, Jacob Kirkegaard, Christian Winther Christensen + many more.
